NEWCASTLE City Centre Walks: African Lives in Newcastle
These two Newcastle City Centre Walks (Central and North) demonstrate that Africans, as with many other diverse groups, not only lived, visited and contributed to our region, but that their lives are embedded in the fabric of our region.
There in the stones in Newcastle’s City Hall, in its Royal Victoria Hospital, in homes, churches, meeting rooms and assembly halls across the region. We believe that these walks have the potential to stir curiosity and a sense of pride in Newcastle’s rich and diverse past. Click the links below to start the journey.
